As a laboratory technician in our lab, you will perform single experiments and small projects under the guidance of senior scientists. These will include wet lab work and documentation, work with cell cultures, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Drosophila melanogaster, maintenance of electronic and product databases, purchasing of materials, and computer work.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences or Biology. We would appreciate the knowledge of several of the following techniques:
- Western blotting
- Cell culture maintenance
- Immunocyto- or immunohistochemistry
- Light, fluorescent or confocal microscopy
- Knowledge in working with Word and Excel
- Experience in working with bacteria or yeast would be an asset
- Experience in maintenance and manipulation of Drosophila melanogaster would be an asset
You have the necessary social skills and are communicative and flexible. You are accurate and willing to gain new expertise and gather new knowledge. Since we are an international team, it is necessary that you can speak and write in English fluently.

You will be thoroughly trained in the techniques routinely used by our team, including cell culture, Drosophila and yeast genetics, and protein analysis.
Furthermore, you will be given the chance to upgrade your knowledge by following specialised courses.
